Zelenskyy says Ukraine preparing meeting with Trump and his team

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukraine is preparing a meeting with US President Donald Trump and his team. In his evening video address, he thanked America and all who stand with Ukraine, adding that air defence is the first priority where Kyiv's partners can help.

Warning of Imminent Attack

Zelenskyy warned that Russia has "readied missiles for a new massive attack on Ukraine," citing intelligence from Kyiv and its partners. "The strike may take place today – we have preliminary information that it could happen within the next 48 hours," he said. He urged Ukraine's diplomats to voice the country's needs louder across the globe, stressing they are "real needs for protecting lives."

Diplomatic Efforts

Zelenskyy said the Foreign Ministry must "move faster" and that more must be known in key partner countries about Russia's attacks and efforts to prolong the war. The meeting with Trump would be part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure continued US support.
