2nd anniversary of July Revolution

🇧🇩 Bangladesh is marking the second anniversary of the student-led revolution that brought down Sheikh Hasina’s dictatorship.

Hasina fled the country and took refuge in India, which had long supported her 16-year rule, marked by authoritarianism, repression, extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and widespread human rights abuses.
