Approximately 18,000 flamingo chicks hatched in May are now growing in the Gediz Delta's nursery waters in İzmir, Türkiye. The young birds, under parental supervision, are learning to feed and exercise their wings before the August migration season. The delta's artificial nesting island has become a thriving habitat for the colourful flocks.
