Trabzonspor has completed the signing of Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah on a contract guaranteeing €17 million per season, with the club confirming the move through a formal disclosure to Borsa Istanbul published on Türkiye’s Public Disclosure Platform on Thursday.
The filing revealed Salah will receive a €10 million base salary and a €7 million signing payment annually, with conditional bonuses and image-rights provisions adding further value to the agreement.
Deal structure
A separate commercial arrangement grants Salah a 20-percent share of proceeds from merchandise bearing his name sold through the club’s retail operations. Trabzonspor will additionally pay an agency fee equivalent to 5 percent of the player’s gross remuneration.
The club had earlier signalled the imminent arrival by sharing footage of Salah wearing the claret-and-blue No. 61 kit aboard a plane.
Player’s message
In the video, the forward addressed supporters directly: “Trabzon, are you ready? I can hear you. See you very soon. Everywhere is Trabzon,” he said, invoking the popular slogan associated with the Black Sea side.
The agreement represents one of the most significant acquisitions in the history of the Turkish top flight, bringing a global star to the 2021-22 Süper Lig champions.
