Trabzonspor open transfer talks for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah

Trabzonspor announced late Tuesday that the Turkish Süper Lig club has opened formal transfer negotiations with Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah, who is set to become a free agent after announcing his departure from Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025-2026 season.

The Black Sea club filed a statement with the Istanbul Stock Exchange and Türkiye's Public Disclosure Platform on Tuesday evening and stated: "Negotiations have begun over the transfer of professional soccer player Mohamed Salah, who is a free agent, to our club." The disclosure confirmed that the 34-year-old will leave the English Premier League side upon the expiration of his current contract.
