Kuwait also sounded warning sirens, the official KUNA news agency reported, as regional tensions spiked following overnight exchanges between Washington and Tehran.

Escalating exchanges

The Iranian military said earlier Thursday it had targeted infrastructure at US military bases in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain in retaliation for recent American strikes on Iranian territory.
