London's Gatwick Airport has been hit by a water supply crisis after a power outage at a treatment plant disrupted services across both terminals. Passengers reported that toilets were not flushing and that restaurants and other facilities had been forced to close.
Utility Response and Mitigation
SES Water confirmed that the outage at the Bough Beech treatment plant had caused low water pressure and temporary cuts for some customers, including the airport. "Our teams are working to restore normal service as quickly as possible," the company said, adding that it was coordinating with airport authorities. Gatwick management said bottled water was being distributed to passengers and staff.
