Türkiye’s homegrown electric vehicle brand Togg is celebrating its eighth anniversary with over 105,000 users, driven by its extensive ecosystem of smart devices, charging network, and expansion into Europe. Founded on June 25, 2018, the company has since developed a domestic ecosystem operating 22 experience centres and 76 service points nationwide. Togg was established through a partnership between Anadolu Group Holding, BMC, Turkcell, Zorlu Holding, and the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
Market dominance and European expansion
Togg dominated the Turkish EV market with a 25% share, selling 16,745 units of its T10X and T10F models in the first five months of 2026. The T10X led with 9,070 units, followed by the T10F fastback with 7,675 units sold. Both vehicles secured five‑star Euro NCAP safety ratings. The company expanded into Germany last year and plans further European growth. Togg’s production at the Gemlik Technology Campus boosted domestic content rates to 81.72% for the T10X and 83.9% for the T10F.
AI, charging network, and partnerships
Togg recently unveiled its Can.ai AI platform, developed with Microsoft Türkiye, and rolled out a major TruOS software update. Its renewable‑powered Trugo charging network holds a 27.3% market share, with over 2,000 stations and more than 5 million charging transactions. The automaker also partnered with CATL’s subsidiary CAIT to develop a shared platform for B‑segment vehicles, scheduled for release in mid‑2027. Togg ranked 28th among Türkiye’s 500 largest industrial firms in 2025, climbing nine spots.
