President Erdogan vows peace will survive Israeli provocations

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has condemned Israel as a "massacre network" that thrives on occupation and terror, warning that Tel Aviv is actively working to dismantle recent regional consensus. Speaking in parliament, he reaffirmed Türkiye's determination to push for lasting solutions in Iran.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a sharp rebuke of Israeli policy on Wednesday, asserting that regional peace would ultimately hold despite ongoing provocations from Tel Aviv.
Strong words against Israeli policy
Addressing his party's parliamentary group, Erdogan characterised Israel as "a reckless group" that has no interest in quieting the region. "They never want the guns to fall silent," he stated, before going further to label the Israeli government a "massacre network which has made terror and occupation its state policy."
Regional consensus under threat
The Turkish president also pointed to what he described as deliberate efforts by Israel to erode a "hard-won consensus" painstakingly built over the preceding ten days. He did not elaborate on the specific accord but signalled that Israeli actions were actively undermining diplomatic gains.
Türkiye's assertive regional role
Citing Türkiye's growing diplomatic weight, Erdogan emphasised that Ankara would not relent in its pursuit of a durable settlement to the conflict in Iran. He framed Türkiye's involvement as both a responsibility and a necessity, given the country's unique position in regional affairs.
Commitment to diplomatic engagement
Erdogan’s remarks reaffirm Türkiye's commitment to active mediation and dialogue, even as tensions flare. His latest statements align with Ankara's broader foreign policy approach, which seeks to balance assertive rhetoric with sustained diplomatic engagement across multiple flashpoints in the Middle East.
