This is not a NATO summit, it's a "Türkiye summit"!
This is not a NATO summit, it's a "Türkiye summit"!

Tomorrow, Türkiye will host perhaps the most important summit of this century. Perhaps NATO members, too, will hold the most critical meeting of the 21st century. At a time when US-NATO relations are loosening, intra-European disagreements are escalating, and Türkiye has transformed into a colossal military power, this summit will not remain just another NATO summit.

Will the Western alliance, which won the First and Second World Wars, emerged victorious from the Cold War but failed to sustain that success, now faces great challenges and has lost its ability to govern the world— can it regain its old power, even if desperately?

Western globalization and the Western world order will no longer exist.

Is there anything left of concepts like "Western globalization" or "Western world order"? While the West's geographical and power domains are shrinking, new superpowers are emerging, even former colonies are experiencing national awakenings, countries are clinging tightly to their resources and preventing them from being plundered by the West — a new Western order is no longer possible.

The NATO summit in Ankara opens the door for us to discuss everything concerning Türkiye and the world in new terms, to speak new words. Instead of old mental clichés, we need a new reading of power based on the realities of today and tomorrow, and on the re-emergence of great empires from the past.

This is less about NATO's recovery and more about Türkiye's rise as a superpower.

Just yesterday, the Western alliance collectively supported and fed the genocide in Gaza; it has no moral standing left over the human family. Those who have devastated our entire geography over the last thirty years no longer have any prospect of bringing good news to us or to the human family. Those who have nothing left but their weapons and brute force no longer have the capacity to guide humanity.

This will be less a NATO summit and more a Türkiye summit. Less about NATO's recovery and more about Türkiye taking the stage in the great arena, and the Western alliance's acceptance of that fact. The reason Türkiye attaches such importance to this summit is less about NATO and more about the declaration of Türkiye as a superpower.

For the first time, Türkiye sits at the table not as a frontline country, but as a patron state.

For the first time in its last two hundred years of history, Türkiye sits at a table in its strongest position. It sits not as a frontline country but as a patron state. Not as an Anatolian state but as a geographical power. Not as a nation-state under tutelage substituted for the Ottoman Empire, but as a superpower of the 21st century.

For the first time in its last two centuries of history, Türkiye sits at a summit as a great power that shapes its own power domain, shapes geography, undertakes a reconstruction of history, and is "needed" by the old "bosses." It sits as a decision-making mind, not as one to whom a role is assigned.

For forty years, all threats have come from the West and NATO.

There is now a Türkiye that, since its membership in the Alliance, has protected the West's borders, has at times been treated as a "mercenary," has fought for the Alliance in every corner of the world but never found support within the Alliance for threats directed at itself — and has now transformed into a military power capable of protecting Europe.

If this summit is that important, let's speak openly: for the last forty years, all security threats directed at Türkiye have originated from the Western alliance and NATO. The forty-year PKK and ethnic war, the forty-year FETÖ, and the July 15 attack all originated from the Western alliance and NATO.

Türkiye fought all these threats alone...

The plans to shrink Türkiye, to detach it from its geography, to encircle it with coups from within and "neighbor threats" from without — all originated from the Western alliance and NATO. The regional plans of the West and NATO, shaped according to Israel's security interests, have caused very heavy damage to Türkiye, especially over the last thirty years. Western interventions that began with the occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq and devastated the geography have inflicted severe damage on Türkiye's geographical relationships.

While all this was being done, Türkiye's sensitivities were not taken into account even in the slightest. Türkiye, with its state and its nation, has paid the heavy price of all this alone, yet still fulfilled its responsibilities within the Alliance with great goodwill.

Will today's applause make us forget "yesterday"? Will it blind us?

But the global power mathematics have now changed. However much the applause from NATO members and European countries may flatter us, Türkiye will no longer be a country that has awakened to the world's new realities but is merely shuffled from front to front with no role among the decision-makers.

Let's speak plainly: Türkiye won its greatest victory by thwarting the threats directed at it by NATO countries. While membership/alliance relations exist on one side, many Alliance countries have been waging a covert war against Türkiye. The rising applause will not make us forget "yesterday." So from now on, whatever the power mathematics dictate, whatever Türkiye's priorities are as a geographical power or even a superpower—tables will be set accordingly.

This is a declaration of becoming a superpower. The West has now accepted this!

The summit that begins today in Ankara will be NATO's "self-rescue" summit and Türkiye's "global power" summit. And after this summit, a new Türkiye will have been declared. The course of its relations with its geography and with the West will change significantly. The "Rise History" that began after the Republic's founding has long since started. The date on which Western countries have also accepted this will be this summit.

Türkiye is now one of the strongest game-makers at every table. Both in the East and the West, the history- and geography-transforming effect of this rise in power will be felt more distinctly.

Türkiye has always been sincere with Europe and the US, but double-faced policies have always come from them. The era of "smiling to your face while scheming behind your back" is now closed. This method will no longer work.

But Türkiye has settled at the center of geography and power...

Europe's fears are enormous. Resources no longer flow to Europe. Europe has no resources of its own. Its former colonies are rejecting it. Whatever they have accumulated so far will be depleted very quickly. There is no European power left. Russia's attack on Ukraine alone has thrown Europe off balance. This panic has already removed Europe from being the world's center.

But Türkiye has settled at the center of the world geographically, and at the center of the world in terms of power. This summit will be the one where this is formalized and accepted. Even if it weren't, what of it? Türkiye will walk its own path, and they will fight among themselves. Everyone knows that this flow of history is not easily stoppable. All their "stop Türkiye" plans over the last twenty years have failed.

They will no longer find a Türkiye to encircle with neighbors and strike from within...

They will no longer find a Türkiye to turn into a toy in Israel's hands. They will no longer find a Türkiye to encircle from Syria, Cyprus, or Greece. They will no longer find a Türkiye to drag into war with Russia or Iran. They will no longer find a country to exhaust with terrorism from within. They will no longer find a country to humiliate before the EU. They will no longer find a country in which to set up "Islamophobia headquarters." What, were all these lies? Weren't all these happening just yesterday?

Just because they are applauding Türkiye today, will we pretend these never happened?

Now that they are applauding us, will we close our eyes and act as if we've forgotten all this? No! We will not look with hostility, but we will not do that either. Just as we have not forgotten what happened a hundred years ago, we will not forget these either.

This summit and the period after it will mark a new phase in Türkiye-West relations. The criteria, conditions, and cards will change. Whatever the mutual interests and power relations dictate, that is what will be. The era of one-sided domination, role assignment, and being sent to the front is over. For perhaps the first time, Türkiye-West relations will settle on a "fair balance."

Whether this happens or not, the "Türkiye rise" will accelerate. As Türkiye grows, the space of many countries in this geography will naturally shrink. Since they know this too, they are trying to lay the foundations of "cooperation and partnership amidst applause." And that is a correct step.

We want a new beginning for the entire geography. Leave our lands and seas in peace.

One week after the NATO summit will be the 10th anniversary of the July 15 attack. This "beginning," when Türkiye launched its own march, opened the path that has been walked with giant steps. On that day, almost all Western countries, almost all NATO countries, supported that attack. Now they are all taking steps to establish "partnership" with Türkiye. That's how historical turning points work.

If Türkiye grows stronger, the geography finds peace. The disasters of the last century, the Israel-first aggressions, come to an end. The world finds a breathing space beyond conflicts. We want this. We want a new beginning, a rise in power, a basin of peace not just for Türkiye but for the entire geography. This is only possible if Western colonialism leaves these lands and seas alone, and if Israel is squeezed into a narrow space.

The era of sacrificing Türkiye for Western defense is over. Türkiye will settle at the center.

So we must accept that the NATO summit in Ankara should actually be a Türkiye summit. We must confirm that Türkiye has become the center of European defense technologies. We must set as a priority goal the establishment of our relations with the West on a "fair balance." We must accept that the era of sacrificing Türkiye's security for Western defense is closed.

We want peace for everyone. So NATO and the West should make good use of this opportunity. They must break free from their addiction to Israeli aggression.

What if they don't? They will continue to experience spatial contraction. Türkiye will expand its power domain and settle at the world's center. But they will lament the opportunity they missed today.

After this summit, many new things will be opened for discussion. Perhaps the fate of many regions will change. We await with anticipation.
